I remember a time many years ago in grade school. My best friend and I were about 9,or so.We

stopped at  a marsh on the way home.Tad poles, frogs, colourful dragon flys inhabitated this place.

For a long time we just crouched by the water, listening to the chorus of sounds made by insects, and wildlife.I can recall

such a surge of happiness. This was indeed our own special world, far removed from the business of today.

That marsh no longer exists. It has been replaced by concrete roads. However,in thinking about this memory;something reaches out to me.Nature has a way of showing us that there is a world removed from frantic busyness. It is here at this childhood memory I want to begin.

You don't have to cycle backwards to find this kind of peacefulness.Go into your own backyard,a walking trail,a waterfall...

and, when you do,savour the moment.Perhaps it won't immediately bring you joy, but,if it will help to quiet your mind.Maybe helping you to discover what is really important to you.
